Karolina Arutyunyan

Thank you for taking time to visit my website.

I am a member of the BPS (British Psychological Society) and fully accredited by the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I work with the full scope of psychological disorders, ranging from mild to severe. These include, anxiety disorders, phobias, OCD, depression, bereavement, personality disorders, psychosis, relationship difficulties, health problems, trauma and abuse.

Everybody feels stuck at some point in their life. Some might live with the sensation of being trapped without even realising it. Regardless of how your difficulties manifest themselves you should not have to compromise the quality of your life. Mental illness can make you feel lonely and hopeless. It might feel like there is no way out and no matter what steps you take, things just keep spiralling out of control. The good news is that it is never too late to take control. Together we can explore the factors contributing to your struggles and discover a way to a more fulfilling     life.

Reaching out for help can be anxiety provoking and requires some courage. However, overcoming the initial fear and getting emotional support can be incredibly rewarding. I aim to provide empathic, non judgmental space where anything is up for discussion and the only rule is that you bring whatever comes to your mind. Therapy allows you space which is exclusively yours.

I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings, with a broad range of clinical presentations. My clients come from diverse cultural backgrounds and  various  age groups. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural, Psychodynamic, and  Person Centred approaches. I work by integrating these models, drawing on their various aspects, in order to facilitate psychological well-being.

If you are unsure whether therapy is right for you, get in touch for an initial telephone consultation. We can have a quick chat to help you understand what therapy offers and whether it suits your individual needs.

I provide counselling in English and Russian languages.
